The moles and Dr. Jorgensborg departed early this morning, so hopefully you all got in your goodbyes. Our remaining mole guest will stay with us for only a short while longer, but in the meantime she's being spoiled. Please limit the amount of treats you give her, especially in terms of carbs. Do not feed her any more bread. It's giving her unpleasant [............] bowel movements.

It's been decided that ESS-CC02, aka "Mauldry", will be the mole experiencing a slightly extended stay with us.
I have it on good authority that Dr. Jorgensborg will be arriving this Wednesday, so the mother and the other two pups will be gone by the weekend.Now's your chance to say goodbye to the rest of the family.
Update: My apologies, but until further notice, no one outside of research can visit the moles. Security can still move freely as needed.

The TNR suggestion has been rejected, due to the potential danger the moles could pose to nearby towns and other animal populations. Instead, they will be relocated to a Liminal animal reserve that's agreed to take them in. The exact timeline hasn't been settled on, as it depends on the assistance of our one-time colleague, Dr. Colin Jorgensborg, who will be able to shrink the moles down to a more reasonable size. He's visiting from a neighboring station, and could be here as early as next week. Let's give him a professional welcome when he arrives.
However. We will be keeping one of the mole pups with us for a bit longer to run some further tests. After which they'll be promptly reunited with the rest of their litter.

Alright, it's time. I've gotten results back from the tests I ran on our guests, the giant moles.
On the most basic level, we can confirm that they are indeed Condylura cristata, star-nosed moles. Obviously they've experienced some unnatural growth from rift irradiation, along with a few other interesting changes to their biology and genetic makeup.
The crystalline mole is the mother of all the pups (exploration still has yet to locate the father). The pups didn't inherit her particular genetic mutations, and will likely develop completely different liminalities. This isn't uncommon, as while the genes that create liminal mutations can be passed from parent to child, it usually manifests very differently in the offspring. This is true for all mammals. Plants work a little differently, but that's a topic for another day.
What is strange is that the mutations I've found in the pups are all identical and they're still actively mutating. In sync. When the mutations develop, it does so in unison among the entire litter. I'll need to do more tests to figure out why this is, but it's unprecedented. It could be the nature of their liminality, or it could be because they were all exposed to the same source of rift irradiation in utero, but I can't be certain yet.
However, something I can be certain of is that within the upcoming weeks or months, they're going to begin developing liminal abilities. They're likely going to be identical and all manifest at the same time. We'll have to keep a very close eye on them and increase security and safety measures, just in case.

Willy and I met on Tinder a few weeks ago and ummm. We weren't Liminal at the time, but then I guess we became Liminal around the same time?? And then one night we were at my place and something happened, which is that wesmash smushe ?phased? together and now we're in the same space all the time. And share a body?? Something like that. I don't know why.
SOOO when you see me, you can't see Willy, he's in my head(???). And vice versa. It's not like I can hear his voice or he can see through my eyes, but it's a presence. We communicate through writing and we have an equal schedule so we're notin limbo locked up all the time. We couldn't always control the switching, but now we're better at it.
ANYWAY I want to use Salvador Roca's powers to cancel whatever is happening to us just for a moment. So we can talk face to faceand I can be or maybe someone can do tests on us or. I don't know!! It should probably happen at Medical. Maybe it can be someone's research project, but only if you actually fix us.
