Warm, but not overly hot? A nice reprieve from the endless winter, though. I mean, as long as you don't mind getting eaten alive by bugs.

Yeah, most of the deserts in the northern hemisphere are on the 30th parallel. Very dry. All the water here is kind of freaky.

Wyoming is kinda dry, no? Maybe?

WY's got good desert but i grew up way north in the mountains. ~~i actually had~~ they've actually got lots of rivers n stuff around those parts too, kinda oasis-style.
