Grayson Lail, the shuttle driver, just learned about the best place - Colchester's Farmers Market! He's so enthusiastic about this that he insists on using his shuttle driving authority to take people into town on Saturday* so they too can enjoy the market! He's also organized with one of the vendors to have sandwiches, snacks, and drinks for a little picnic in the park adjacent to the market, for whoever wants - his treat! Everyone could use a bit of a pick-me-up after that weird mist stuff!

Any regulars of the farmers market will notice a brand new booth - The Children of Persephone. They occupy a small booth in the middle of the market that's draped in purple mottled fabric, and the group of 3 people working it are peddling new age, folk-magic, and occult objects. Surprisingly, they also seem to be somewhat enthusiastically espousing the wonders of the Undying Asphodels and Liminals. Cool...?

Other existing stalls include:

• Pie's the Limit and 3.14159 You Betcha, rival pie stands.
  
• Duke Salisbury's strawberry stand - Duke wears daisy dukes, you're welcome.
  
• Andrea Mallory's stand, selling all sorts of goat milk product including milk, soaps, and lotions.
  
• The Pierogi Wagon, which is, indeed, a wagon selling pierogis.
  

*Normally the farmers market runs on Sundays, but this weekend its being run on Saturday because one of the organizers wants to go tubing Sunday and is too controlling to let it run without him. Shut up!!!

Stall Runner: The Children of Persephone
Stall Goods: Various occult, folk-magic, and new age things. Items of note are: crystals, witch balls with locally grown herbs, sage bundles with locally sourced sage, and small carved figures of animals. They are also giving away small pamphlets that talk about Undying Asphodels and Liminals in a very positive light. They invite others to join them at their weekly meetings on Tuesday nights in town, in the church rec room!
Description: Everyone at this stall is very nice and talkative, though one person in particular seems to be in charge - Marius Wicker, a new-comer to Colchester in the last year. None of them are obviously Liminal themselves.
Anything else?: If you reply to this stall I'll respond to a single question for members of The Children of Persephone per player.

STALLS: FRASER FIELDS

Stall Runner: Duke Salisbury
Stall Name: Fraser Fields
Stall Goods: Strawberries when they're in season but they're not anymore! So it's products from strawberries — preserves, jellies, jams, strawberry butter (for your mouth, not your body!), and small batches of strawberry curd tarts.
Description: The only employee today is Duke! It's a pared-down version of his normal stall and it's no secret that his presence is more a social endeavour than a professional one. Outgoing and cheerful, he spends plenty of time chatting with the vendors and all the fresh new faces!!! He's got plenty of curiosity about the new booth and will ask people he saw visit them for details about the 'operation.' And no, the daisy dukes weren't an urban myth.
Anything else?: i looked for every time rory simped over duke IC (and i know i'm missing some lmao)

STALLS: Cozy Corner Creamery

Stall Runner: Henry and Hazel Greene
Stall Name: Cozy Corner Creamery
Stall Goods: An assortment of fine Vermont cheeses. Cheese curds are their specialty! They've even got a couple of newfangled vegan options.
Description: Henry and Hazel are here with their reluctant teenage niece Ellie, who is tending the cash box and would clearly rather be anywhere else. The stall is nothing fancy; a nice blue and white gingham tablecloth with one of each variety of cheese for display. (They'll grab you a new block out of the cooler, don't you worry!)
Anything else?: Nice cheese people. They're regulars!

STALLS: Knit Happens

Stall Runner: Dorothy and Jessa Bergschneider, married sheep farmers.
Stall Name: Knit Happens.
Stall Goods: Hand-spun artisanal yarns and fibre crafts made with love.
Description: They're regulars! Their stall is very cute and cozy, and the Bergschneiders appear to be very much in love—and may assume your characters are also a couple in love if they see them together. Awww!
Anything else?: Jessa is bottle feeding an orphaned lamb and may let you pet it if you ask nicely.

AT THE MARKET: Hypatia & Whit

Even though Hypatia knows that poor Rory is frustrated with a lot of their coworkers being at the farmers market, she's finding it hard to be upset about it. She loves seeing everyone being themselves out in the world, just normal people with their friends, enjoying the day, sampling food, getting along. It brings her a sense of inner peace, one that radiates out into a smile that she was only hiding when around Rory.

Now, though, she's off on her own, slowly eating some strawberries she'd bought that she'd intended to make shortcake with. Maybe she'll have to go buy more. She rounds the corner of one of the stalls, lost a little in her head, to the point where she almost bumps into Whit. She stumbles to a stop, managing to save any strawberries from flying from the container in her hand.

"Ohmygosh! I'm so sorry, I was just... in a strawberry zone, I guess."

AT THE MARKET: Hypatia & Whit

Whit is having a great time at the farmers' market! He's never been here before, due to a combination of not being able to drive and being scared of the idea that "normal" folks here might be scared of him, but he's still managed to keep himself free of opossum features and so he's living today!

He looks cheerfully unfazed by Hypatia's skidding to a stop in front of him.

"For good reason! The strawberry guy is sooooo nice! I bought more strawberry things than I know what to do with!" Whit enthuses, carrying a few reusable tote bags full of his own many purchases.

"What are you going to do with yours? Are you having fun? Have you been here before?" he chatters delightedly.

AT THE MARKET: Noah & Minty

When they arrive, Noah steps out of the van and takes a deep breath of fresh air that is filled with the aroma of a dozen good kinds of food. Perfect. After the week they'd had he'd needed to get out, and having free transportation was a good selling point, even if cramming into a van with his coworkers was less than ideal. Still, he's happy he's here. And he's going to be even happier soon.

"Alright, Mints," he says to his companion, because of course he'd made sure she was on the same shuttle as him, "Food, food, more food, and then find something for Dorin?" He's got priorities.

this is SO cute? but this market is free of crysta because she's still on her weird odyssey to find rainwater. that is just as well, seeing as she would be weird about these people please please someone inform her of the tuesday meeting so she can crash someday (or don't because that's bad too)

The former just to check things out (he's been here before, but it's been a while) and maybe watch Rory squirm, the latter to experience the market for the first time (thanks for the heads up, Grayson!). So they're around if anyone wants them. Dorin is still taking it easy after getting spider-chomped, but hopes people will have a good time and take some cute photos~
