Following the storm on Thursday, the residents of Enodia Station start to notice that something is... off and some of their Liminal powers are not behaving as they normally do. While the impact isn't anywhere near as intense or as all-encompassing as the pulse, it seems that the storm may've had a similar effect. Those that were more directly exposed to the storm have the potential to experience this phenomenon more acutely.

This event is opt in and not all residents will be impacted. See the information below to determine how your character might be impacted.

Characters struck by the energy bolts in the storm
Significant impact on powers. Powers may be completely inexcessible or difficult to control.
Can last up to 10 days.

Characters that went out in the storm or made contact with the storm
Moderate impact on powers. Powers may be harder to control and lacking in finesse.
Can last up to 7 days.
This includes characters that moved through the storm via teleportation.

Characters that used their powers frequently during the storm
Minor impact on powers. Powers may be acting out in minor ways.
Can last up to 5 days.

Characters that were present during the storm
Minor impact on powers. Powers may be acting out in minor ways.
Can last up to 3 days.

Zeke cannot turn off his bone-o-vision, was using his powers for art before they were called downstairs and also probably healed Sal's broken arm after he killed Eureka so I'm putting him in category 3 😌

When The Pulse happened he had trouble seeing at all so he might wind up living partly in Accessibility Mode for a couple days. If anyone wants to get their bones litely fuckt up by the bone man when he's NOT half-blind I'm happy to provide. (Zeke will not be happy but he's never happy)

eta: he can't control the life force transferal part of his powers. normally he'd be able to open/close conduits for the energy and to change the energy's direction and force, but naaaah not right now.

ex. this morning he was holding his cat while rearranging a plant and now the plant's dead and his cat has SO. MUCH. ENERGY. SHE'S DOING AMAZING, IT'S THE PARTIEST DAY OF MISS CHRISTOPHER'S LIFE.

Rye is a super lucky category 1! 8)

I imagine for the next while, things around him will be... wonky. People will feel too heavy or too light, more stuff will just randomly float, etc. Abrupt starts and stops in his abilities, and generally making a mess of the apartment any time he experiences an emotion.

Rhodes is Ct. 2 unless he gets hit by lightning in the next tag let's not count that out. It will not at all be an uncommon occurrence to see him in the cafeteria picking up a banana or tasty string cheese and it'll just rot into nothing. Not gonna eat much in the next couple days. Also probably don't shake his hand.

Category 2 Eden keeps lapsing into slo-mo without intending to. She constantly looks like she's in a dramatic movie moment, which is not actually fun at all, and now she's going to be late to everything. Strength related shenanigans also ensue, with a tiny graveyard of small objects being broken by accident.

This is litely pending the results of this scene, but I think she's going to completely lose her powers for a few days and then when they come back, she will be constantly storing energy and also not in control of when she's exerting it. So she'll have to minimize how much energy she absorbs to prevent herself from randomly launching herself into the air with a normal footstep or whatever

Lenz is a Category 2 and will be struggling this week with his body going more and more living portal against his will. Whoops. It'll be cumulative, so everyone can look forward to the day he loses physical vocal chords and can't talk shit anymore. Is this better or worse than rapid fire uncontrolled teleportation à la the pulse? To be determined. But he's not having a good time.

Dorin is a Category 3, I guessss, since his powers are passive and always 'on'. Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out what this means for him, if anything. Just feeling extra leechy!

PARTICIPATION: Annie

Annie teleported through the storm and used all of her powers in some capacity, so she will be moderately impacted, at least.

I'm thinking at some points during the week, she'll be unable to shift into her insect form, which has never happened before (even after the pulse) and will REALLY bum her out. She may also shift at random, for maximum 'waking up as a bug' Kafkaesque horror. A welcome surprise!

MOST IMPORTANTLY!!! I'm interested in Annie discovering her loyalty manipulation power through this event. At random points throughout the week, her loyalty manipulation will INTENSIFY, causing people to mob her and follow her around like she's Taylor Swift. It's not like a love potion or even a charisma buff, necessarily, but it will make people look at her like she's Theoden King before the Ride of the Rohirrim.

This is OPT IN! I will not impose this on anyone and her loyalty powers don't work over the net. But I'd love a little help with this plot point for Annie, so feel free to say your character was briefly willing to die for her for no apparent reason lol

Isaiah is dealing with cat. 3 from using his powers too often, since they can't turn off AND he was psychically ransacking Enoch's apartment.

He's dealing with overstimulation and is having a difficult time parsing all of the information his powers are constantly feeding him. He's also especially sensitive to any changes in environment and keeps politely excusing himself because he feels horribly nauseous he's just like, super busy with so many people needing to take some time off.

He's not telling anyone or giving any indication that he's unwell, and if someone suspects he's hiding something he'll stubbornly deny it!

I'm going to put both my dumb dumbs in Cat 3 - Hypatia's powers are mostly passive and also she was definitely like... heating up food with her hands and keeping herself from getting too hot all night. She is worse at regulating her temperature (she forgot what it feels like to feel hot :( not fun) and she might accidentally be incredibly cold or hot to the touch. She will avoid touching poor Skittles.

I'm going to say Noah did some forcefield things (reluctantly) during the storm in an attempt to stop some damage when he could, mostly because I want him to suffer a bit!!! Sorry Noah. His power malfunctions will be in the form of his forcefields just not staying up or being less solid than he intends. No accidental forcefields or no too solid ones (so nothing gets chopped in half!!)

All of Lou's plants are looking kinda wilty and sad. So is Lou. Worst of all, his hair is flat. :(

I think he's a category 3 maybe since he was using his powers during the storm? Don't let him near your plants.

late as usual but I STILL WANTED TO CHECK IN.

Parson is a category 4. For three days after the storm his Inertia Powers were a little more finicky than usual, and once or twice he accidentally established an involuntary and very brief (seconds-long) hitch with people who happened to be nearby (wifi connection: free_internet_no_emotional_trauma).

Poet is category 3, and for 5 days after the storm caused electrical shorts in nearby objects at random. The break room Keurig might need to be replaced now. Sorry.
