"God, you're the worst," Noah replies with barely any bite, feeling, at the moment, that Annie isn't actually that bad. He just has to be a little bit of an ass because he's stressed, just like his companion is. It's fine. He's sure they won't think any less (or more) of each other for it later.
In contrast to Annie, Noah continues to shove handfuls of cereal into his mouth, though to his credit he never tries to speak around a mouthful of protein-enriched fake cheerios. "I remember it. It sounded like this. Exactly like this. Doesn't feel like it to me yet, though. It felt like... a buzz. Something short-circuiting in me." There's a very long moment where his body tenses, and he seems to be pondering something, before he lifts a hand and creates a momentary sphere around the two of them, opaque enough to see but just barely, proof to both of them that his powers are in fine working order. It flickers away in an instant. He's too nervous to keep it up longer. "Do you remember it?"
